Terms and Conditions.

Terms and why we have them

Rules can be a faff to follow but the dog field rules are for a very good reason, please familiarise yourself with them if you want to use our field. We do politely email people if rules aren’t followed because we appreciate there is a lot to take in and sometimes some rules can be overlooked especially if you are new to the field. There are no pick and mix options to our rules you need to follow them all. We have cctv cameras in the field but we do not routinely sit and watch them, if you have a problem when you use the dog field please email us or message us and let us know. If your dog is very reactive to other dogs and or people please book a 50 minute slot and arrive a few minutes late and leave early so your dog is not upset by the departure or arrival of other field users. If you do this and are still interrupted by early arrivals or late departures please let me know by a friendly email or facebook message.

Numbers

Whilst we have no set number of dogs allowed per visit, we do have a three car rule. We can only fit three cars into the car park. The rules apply no matter how may dogs are involved.

Timing

Do not arrive early for your appointment  and do not leave late. Your booked time slot starts the moment you enter the carpark. For example if your session is booked for 12 noon this is the time you should be entering the carpark. Please please please respect other field users and their right to have an uninterrupted session that they have booked for themselves and their dogs. If you absolutely must arrive early and you are very early do not enter the carpark if you are only 1 minute early then please remain in your car with your dogs with doors and windows closed and park away from other users vehicles. Your session end time is the time you should be leaving the car park by and NOT the time you are leaving the field. People that repeatedly arrive early will asked not to visit the field anymore.

No unaccompanied Dogs

Never leave your dogs unattended in the field, if you need to leave the field take your dogs with you.

Poo

Please clean up your own dogs poo into biodegradable bags and deposit in the bins provided for us to dispose of. We appreciate that if you have more than one dog it can sometimes be tricky to spot, if they are anything like ours they can both poo simultaneously at opposite ends of the field. There are markers located by each poo bin that if you spot someone else’s dogs poo and you don’t wish to pick it up we will do it for you. Just place a marker next to the offending poop and we will deal with it. Field users who repeatedly leave dog poo in the field will be asked not to book anymore. If you are happy to pick up dog poo but your partner objects and won’t pick up your own dogs poo then they cannot use the field on their own.

Noise

Our field is located close to our house and our neighbours houses. We ask that you consider the noise both you and your dogs make when using the field.  Do not allow your dogs to bark excessively, we know that they when they first arrive at the field they will be excited but dogs that bark for the majority of your  30 or 60 minutes appointment is very unpleasant for us and our neighbours to listen to. Similarly if your dogs are quiet but you make a lot of noise. There are more remote fields available in the area for dogs and humans that need to make lots of noise.

Respect other users

As a user of other enclosed dog fields for a number of years now please respect other users so that everyone can enjoy the facility offered. Know your dog, if they are difficult to get back on a lead allow plenty of time before the end of your session to put them on. Not being able to get a dog on a lead is no excuse for running into someone else’s time.

Dog Trainers and Dog Walkers

Dog trainers and dog walkers can rent the field and we welcome you however you must hold your own insurance to cover you for either dog walking or dog training. To make a booking please DO NOT just ask your clients to book an appointment directly with us or book via the booking system yourselves. There are particular rules for dog trainers and dog walkers that we need to go through first.

Cancellation/Rescheduling

You can cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 2 hours before your appointment time,  cancellations are not refunded.  Rescheduling of your appointments is always a far better option than cancelling.

XL Bull Breeds

If you have an XL Bull Breed dog and you don’t need to register them you can still use our field. If your dog is registered you can still use our field too but follow the following. Please have your dog on lead and muzzled when bringing them in and out of the field. Once you are in the field and you’ve locked the gate behind you, the lead and muzzle can come off. You can bring all your dogs with you whether they are all registered or not. The only stipulation (that our insurers make) is that you can no longer meet friends or family at the field. If you have any questions please email us.

General Info

We have rules so that everyone can enjoy using White Mill Dog Park they are there for a reason.

There are no lights in the field or the car park. We still have people using the field when the nights are dark with either torches or without.

Do not enter the field if another user is in the field.

This is safe enclosed dog field but it is a field at the end of the day. You use the field at your own risk. It may well be muddy when its wet and there almost certainly will be standing water at the bottom of the field if we have had a lot of rain. There are no human toilets in the field nor is there any running water – we do provide water and a bowl for dogs to drink out of.

We make no checks on vaccination status of the dogs of other field users so treat it as any open public space with the same risks to your dogs.

Please take your rubbish away with you, if your dog is a shredder of toys or balls please pick up after them.

Please note

As an advocate of positive dog training absolutely no electric collars, no citronella collars or similar, choke chains or harsh training methods to be used in the field.
